Intended Audience: General

Purpose: To emphasize the need for inclusion into the community so that children with severe, as well as more moderate, disabilities grow up with the relationships and support networks required for a more independent and fulfilled adulthood.

Description: This program examines how inclusion often begins at school for children of varying ages and with disabilities of varying severity. It is about Betsey, a 12-year-old in the sixth grade, and Larissa, 3 years old and in a community nursery school. Both girls participate with friends in community activities. The program explores the encouraging effect the girls' participation has on their families' views of the children's future.
